This constitution may be amended only by referendum of the Irish people. No amendment may remove or weaken any of the fundamental rights established in this constitution. Any proposed amendment must be put to the people with a minimum of ninety days of public debate and must be passed by a majority of not less than sixty percent of those voting. No amendment process may be funded or influenced by private wealth or foreign interests.
