Article 67 — Economic Sovereignty and Free Market Principles

Ireland’s economy shall serve the Irish nation. The economy shall be free and open. The state shall not interfere in market activities, set prices, or favour any individual, corporation, or industry over another, except where such interference is necessary to prevent monopoly, protect workers, safeguard the natural environment, or uphold the constitutional rights of citizens. The worker is at least as important as the corporation. No economic policy shall be adopted that systematically transfers wealth from the Irish nation to foreign interests, corporations, or supranational bodies.
