Every person has the right to know what is in their food. All food sold in Ireland shall be honestly and clearly labelled, including all ingredients, additives, and the country of origin of major components. Ultra-processed foods linked to chronic health conditions shall be clearly identified as such. The state shall actively promote access to whole, natural, minimally processed food, particularly in schools, hospitals, and public institutions. Food additives banned in other developed nations on health grounds shall be reviewed and, where credible evidence of harm exists, prohibited in Ireland. The state shall support and protect small-scale and traditional food producers as a vital part of Ireland’s food culture and food sovereignty.
